Obituary
Thelma Vanita Bradley, 90, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Plainview Healthcare. Graveside services for Mrs. Bradley will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Robertson officiating. The family will accept friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Wood Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Bradley was born May 27, 1919, to William Horace and Stella Mae Tyler in Cleburne, Texas. She graduated from Olustee High School and later married Myrle Bradley on Nov. 5, 1938, in Altus, Okla. She was the office manager for her husband at Halfway Butane until 1957 when they moved to Hart. In 1960, the couple finally made their way to Plainview where she spent the rest of her life as a homemaker. Vanita enjoyed sewing and crafting and being the loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that her family knew her as. And last, she was a dedicated member of College Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by four grandchildren, Donna Poston of Lubbock, Jill Wolfington of Austin, Gary Motley of Olton and Logan Bradley of Spring; seven great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Kay Nell Bradley of Plainview; and one sister, Lois Kemp of Idalou. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Lonnie Logan Bradley; one daughter, Sharon Jan Motley; and two brothers, Raymond and Harold Tyler.
