Obituary

Myrle Bradley, 90, passed away Oct. 7, 2009, at Plainview Healthcare. Graveside services for Mr. Bradley will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Robertson officiating. The family will accept friends and visitors this evening at 6 p.m. at Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. Bradley was born Aug. 26, 1919, to Thomas and Pearl Bradley in Olustee, Okla. Myrle graduated from Olustee High and also from business school. After marrying Thelma Vanita Tyler on Nov. 5, 1938, in Altus, Okla., they moved to Fort Worth where they spent two years before returning to Olustee. In 1952, they moved to Halfway where he managed Halfway Butane, and in 1957 they moved to Hart to manage Hart Oil and Butane. In 1960 they moved to Plainview to manage Plainview Oil and Butane until he retired in 1984. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by one son, Lonnie Logan Bradley; one daughter, Sharon Jan Motley; and one sister, Margie Kirby. He is survived by his loving wife, Thelma Vanita Bradley of Plainview; four grandchildren, Donna Poston of Lubbock, Jill Wolfington of Austin, Gary Motley of Olton and Logan Bradley of Spring; seven great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Kay Nell Bradley of Plainview; one sister-in-law, Lois Kemp of Idalou; and three nephews.
