Funeral services for Dorothy F. Bradley, 80, of Plainview will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Garland Street Church of Christ with Steve Stokes officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. She died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in Lubbock. She was born Nov. 5, 1931, in Olton, Texas, to O.C. and Mittie Collins. She owned and operated a private health care service in her home for 17 years. She also previously worked at Paynes Jewelry and Cleveland Athletics. Her favorite hobby was raising champion Persian show cats. She loved life, her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Garland Street Church of Christ. She is survived by two daughters, Vernah Sprous and husband Mickey of Plainview and Vickie McNeil of Lubbock, brother Bobby Collins and wife Marie of El Paso, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Lain Bradley and son Mark Lain Bradley. Pallbearers will be Brent Ramsower, Andrew Wood, David Collins, Robert Collins, Ken Sprous and Doug Freeman.
