Obituary

Funeral services for Buck Allen Bradley, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Hale Center with Dr. Carrol Green officiating. Burial will follow in Hale Center Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center. Mr. Bradley died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at his residence in Hale Center. He was born Feb. 10, 1930, in Texola, Okla. He married Betty Jones on June 16, 1973, in Hale Center. He was a longtime Hale Center resident and worked for Hale County Precinct 3 for 31 years as a heavy equipment operator. He retired from the county in 1992. Survivors include his wife, Betty Bradley of Hale Center; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda Crisp of Hale Center, Carol and Ricky Reese of Plainview, Susan Strand of Lubbock and Ragenia and Ernie Phillips of Lamesa; one son, David Bradley of Twin Falls, Idaho; one brother, Bob Bradley of Kress; one sister, Janie Smith of Floydada; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. His parents, James Allen and Chloe Ellen (Mitchell) Bradley; a brother, Walter Bradley; three sisters, Ethel Bradley, Lou Shackelford and Lela Hood; and a daughter, Cynthia Morris, are deceased.
