Obituary

Walter Lee Bozarth, 70, went home to be with the Lord Nov. 23, 2009, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Walter was born Aug. 16, 1939, in Shattuck, Okla., and had no siblings. He moved to Plainview in 1950. Lifelong, he plastered in the Plainview area. He married Barbara Sue Presley on May 8, 1965. He lived and raised his family in Plainview. He was a member of Date Street Baptist Church for many years and enjoyed attending Dare to Believe Ministries. His favorite song was "I Surrender All." His sense of humor will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Blackwell, and his stepfather, Frank Blackwell. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara; and three daughters and sons-in-law, Gerald Dean and Dan Holt, Rhonda and Ronny Green and Shona and Albert Leos, all of Plainview. He had 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He lived a simple life and enjoyed the small things life had to offer. At his request, there will be no funeral service. He wished to have his ashes spread in a peaceful place. Visitation will be at Bartley Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009.
