Bowen, Henry Delmar, Mrs. (Hazel)

Funeral services for Hazel Bowen, 93, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Rowland, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the Parklawn Memorial Park in Plainview by Freeman- Abell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bowen died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, in Hi-Plains Nursing Home.

She was born on Aug. 13, 1907 in Grayson County. She moved to Hale Center in 1953 from Whitewright and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

On Nov. 3, 1926, she married Henry Delmar Bowen in Whitewright. He is deceased.

Survivors include three sons, Harold Bowen of Hale Center, Morris Bowen of Tyler and Larry Bowen of Lubbock; one brother; Virgil Creecy of Jacksonville, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A son, James Bowen, died in 1973.

The family suggests memorials to the Heart Association, Cancer 1society or to a favorite charity.

The family will receive friends at Freeman-Abell Funeral Home today from 7-8-p.m.
