Obituary

Graveside memorial services for Joan DeRusha Clark Bothwell, 65, of Lubbock, formerly of Plainview, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Plainview Cemetery with Dustin Patterson, chaplain of Nursecare Hospice of Lubbock, officiating. Mrs. Bothwell died Monday, June 22, 2009, in Lubbock. She donated her body to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She was born April 1, 1944, to Ed and Lillie DeRusha. She was a member of Date Street Baptist Church and attended Plainview schools. She served as apartment manager at Edgemere Apartments and Central Apartments in Plainview and Capstone Apartments in Lubbock. Survivors include her mother, Lillie DeRusha of Uvalde; two daughters, Angela Kidd and husband Dennis and Shelley McCombs, all of Lubbock; one son, Robbie Garrett of Missouri; two sisters, Nancy Warren and husband John Warren of Lubbock and Judy Graham of Uvalde; one brother, Bobby DeRusha and wife DeLoyce of Uvalde; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her father, Andrew Edward DeRusha, and husbands, Herbie Clark and Larry Bothwell, are deceased.
