Boone, Charles Thomas (Tom)

Lubbock ? Funeral services for Charles Thomas ?Tom? Boone, 61, were at 2 p.m. today in Resthaven?s Abbey Chapel with the Rev. Cliff Hargrove, pastor of First Baptist Church in Hart, officiating.

Burial was in Abernathy Cemetery by Resthaven Funeral Home.

Mr. Boone died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002.

He was born Oct. 14, 1941, in Sapulpa, Okla. He graduated from Abernathy High School in 1960 and moved to Lubbock in 1963. He worked for Baker Co. for 15 years and Side Printing Co. for 28 years as a printer.

He was a member of the Nifty Fifty Car Club and Bacon Heights Baptist Church.

On Oct. 17, 1963, he married Wanda Powell in Sundan.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Allen Boone of Lubbock; a daughter, Brenda Fuller of Arlington; a sister, Joy Ellis of Tulia; and two grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials to the Joe Arrington Cancer Center, Hospice of Lubbock or Bacon Heights Baptist Church.
