Obituary

Edward Blount, 79, formerly of Dallas, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, in Plainview. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Ed is survived by his loving friends, David Walker, Jack Oswald and Larry Hinds of Plainview, John Connell of Amarillo, Cynthia Camuel of Plano and Lindsey Enderby of Taos, N.M.; and his loving dogs of Plainview, Biddy and Bailey. Ed took great pride in his work and his friends and loved them all. Ed was a kind gentle man, humble but well educated, well traveled and loved by all. He was a member of the First Church of Christian Science of Boston, Mass. He served his country in Japan and Korea in the Armed Forces with great pride, then served our country again in the U.S. Treasury for 35 years as an attorney. There will be no visitation or services and the body has been donated to Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine. In memoriam to this fine gentleman, God's child, give the gift of love to someone, and be merciful and forgiving to all that may cross your path.
