Funeral services for Lilla Mae Blanton, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ninth and Columbia Street Church of Christ with Colquitt Nash, minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blanton died at 4:45 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2000, in Lockney Care Center.
She was born Sept. 26, 1916, in Petersburg. She grew up in this area and graduated from Dimmitt High School. She had worked as an assistant manager for a hotel in Amarillo during World War II. She moved to California and managed a hotel there and moved to Plainview in 1969. She also had worked at the Yardstick in Plainview.
She was a member of Ninth and Columbia Street Church of Christ and was a former member of the Knife & Fork Club.
On June 19, 1987, she married Malcolm R. Blanton in Plainview.
Survivors include her husband; two sisters, One Faye Chapman of Plainview and Katherine Tatro of Carson City, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews.
