Obituary

PLAINVIEW - Ila Joe Blakney, 92, of Hereford died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1991.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Wood-Dunning Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Sam Milam, pastor of Frio Baptist Church in Hereford, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery.

Mrs. Blakney, born in Uvalde, moved to Hale County in 1920 from Lubbock County. She married Ed Blakney in 1918. He died in 1981. They moved from Plainview to Hereford in 1952. She was a member of the Frio Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two sons, Harry Blakney and Dale Blakney.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Beth Blakney Caldwell of Plainview; a half-sister, Ruth Barkham of North East, Pa.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
