Obituary

Funeral services for Kathleen Billington, 84, formerly of Hale Center, will be at 2 p.m., Monday at Lemons Memorial Chapel in Plainview with the Rev. Mark Weiss, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Plainview, officiating. Burial will be in Center Plains Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Billington died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, in Lubbock. She was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Hollytree, Ala., to Porter and Mollie Bell Mason. She moved to Hale Center at an early age and grew up in the Hale Center area. She married A.D. "Jack" Billington on May 10, 1940, in Plainview. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She lived in Clovis, N.M., the past 15 years. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Durwood and Tammy Billington of Clovis, N.M.; two sisters, Ruby Pate of Clovis and Yvonne Adkins of Texas; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren Her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister are deceased. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Lemons Funeral Home.
