Obituary

Dorothy L. Biggers was born in Plainview on Feb. 19, 1925, to John and Louise Duckwall McVicker. Dorothy passed away in Terrell, Texas, on April 20, 2014. Dorothy was raised in Plainview and met Brac Biggers where they both worked for Southwestern Public Service Co. After she married Brac on Oct. 25, 1952, in Plainview, they lived in Floydada, Borger and Amarillo, where they raised three boys. In 1980 they began working overseas where Brac was an electrical consultant in Egypt, Yeman, Bangladesh and Barbados. After they retired in 1990, Dorothy moved to Terrell where she raised grandchildren and horses. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kaufman and a former member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo. Her husband Brac Biggers preceded Dorothy in death on Feb. 11, 2007. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Curt Biggers and his wife Lana of Dallas, Blair Biggers of Heath and Brac Biggers Jr. and his wife Denise of San Antonio, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
