Betancur, Magadelano Q., Mrs. (Ramona Gonzales)

Abernathy-- Funeral Mass for Ramona G. Betnacur, 77, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Isidore Catholic Church with the Rev. Arnold Bravo, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home.

Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the same church.

Mrs. Betancur died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 1, 1925, in Cuba, N.M. She moved to Abernathy in 1947.

She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, the Altar Society and Crusillistas.

In 1948, she married Magadelano Q. Betancur in Lubbock. He died OCt. 29, 2002.

Survivors include two sons, Arturo Betancur of Lubbock and Johnny Gonzales of Arlington; a daughter, Candy Vasquez of Abernathy; a brother Filimon Gonzales of Rio Rancho, N.M.; three sisters, Adelina Padilla of Gallup, N.M., Martina Chavez of Bernalilo, N.M, and Pabla Gonzales of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
