Obituary

Graveside services for Betty "Bet" Bennett, 63, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home. Ms. Bennett died at 2:25 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, in Prairie House Living Center. She was born June 5, 1938, in Sallisaw, Okla. She grew up in Plainview where she attended schools. She had worked as a babysitter in her home and for the Lubbock Flea Market for 15 years. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Mike Prayor and Janie and George Sewell, all of Plainview; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Laura Bennett of De Soto, and Gary and Bobbie Bennett of Lockney; a brother, Donnie Presley of Sallisaw; a sister, Barbara Bozarth of Plainview; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grand-children. Four brothers, Ted, James Jr., George and Foster Presley, are deceased.
