Funeral services of Myrtle A. Bell, 80, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Max Browning, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bell died at 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, in Hi-Plains Nursing Home in Hale Center.
She was born Aug. 3, 1920, in Prague, Okla., the daughter of the late Hubert S. and Bertha Sparks Riggins.
On Oct. 26, 1940, she married John Shelby Bell in O?Brien. He died July 10, 1979.
She moved to Halfway in 1951 where she remained the rest of her life. She was active with her husband in farming until the mid 1970s when they rented out their farm to two of their sons.
She was an active member of the Methodist church at Halfway and later at Plainview and also active in the Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Freddy A. and Carol Bell and Rodney and Barbara Bell, all of Plainview, Sam and Gale Bell of Austin and Donald and Deborah Bell of Metairie, La.; three sisters, Helen Almond of Arlington and Tommy Bates and June Harris, both of Irving; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
