Beedy, Austin T.

Graveside services for Austin T. Beedy, 78, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Plainview Memorial Park.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bartley-Silva Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating.

Arrangements are by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home of Plainview.

Mr. Beedy died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, at Covenant Hospital Plainview.

He was born July 23, 1923, in Floyd County and married Clara Pollan on May 29, 1948, in Amarillo. He was a World War II verteran, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps, and was a member of the Texas Aerial Application Association. He was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tracy of Lubbock; a brother, Garvin of South Plains; and a sister, Arlene Crownover of Houston.

A brother, Doug Beedy, and his father and mother, George and Flossie Beedy, are deceased.

Pallbearers will be Loyd Belk, EarlWillis, Ed Shinn, Roger Horan, Tommy Sherman, Marlin Miller, Lenard Harper, Paul Teuton and L.N. Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home and suggests memorials to College Heights Baptist Church, 802 Quincy, Plainview, Tx 79072.
