Obituary

Funeral services for Lola Faye Bartlett, 75, of Abernathy will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Abernathy with the Rev. Mike O'Donnell and the Rev. Brian Brownlow officiating. Burial will follow in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop. Mrs. Bartlett died Monday, April 4, 2011, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born May 27, 1935, in Earth. She moved to Abernathy in 1974. She married Guy Bartlett on Dec. 27, 1975, in Abernathy. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Abernathy. Survivors include her husband; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Cindy Hunt of Abernathy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Mike Baker of Canyon and Saundra and Jamie Cox of Plainview; five sisters, Virginia Easley, Josephine Schulz, Trudy Downs, Wanda and Ed Horsford and Darlene Ashby; a sister-in-law, Glenda Barrett; and four grandchildren, Lindsey and her husband, Kody McCar?rell, of Canyon, Erin and her husband, Sean Mueller, of Lubbock, Cassidy Baker of Canyon and Ethan Hunt of Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. Three brothers, Daniel Barrett, Doug Barrett and Calvin Barrett, and a stepson, Van Bartlett, are deceased. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the American Heart Association or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.jdrf.org).
