Barrientos, Homero

Funeral Mass for Homero Barrientos, 69, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim McCartney, pastor of St. Alice Catholic Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Barrientos died at 9:35 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2001, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 11, 1931, in Laredo. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include his step-mother, Maria Gamboa of Plainview; three brothers, Isdel Gamboa Jr., of Portsmouth, Va., Gerardo Gamboa of Fort Worth and Ramio Gamboa of Dodge City, Kan.; and seven sisters, Magdalene Flores of Corpus Christi, Isabel Gutierrez of Dumas, Maria Ballesteros, Sara Valencia and Sandra Gonzales, all of Plainview, Adrianna Garcia of Garden City, Kan., and Rosa Rodriquez of Joplin, Mo.

Although burial will be by Lemons Funeral Home, the body will be at Wood-Dunning Funeral Home until service time.
