Obituary

Funeral services for Jesusa P. Barrera, 88, will be at noon Monday at Guajardo Funeral Chapels in Lubbock with the Rev. Manuel Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview by Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Saturday and also will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Barrera died Thursday, June 10, 2004, at her residence. She was born May 30, 1916, in Plainview where she lived for 60 years. In 1982, she married Manuel Barrera in Plainview. He died in 1987. Survivors include two daughters, Elena Saenz and Delia Mojica, both of Plainview; four sons, Mike De Los Santos of Lubbock, Raymond Saenz and Fred Felan, both of Plainview, and Ruben Saenz of Hale Center; a brother, Sisto Perez; three sisters, Amelia Aguilar, Pancha Saldana and Carmel DeLeon; 45 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Juanita De Los Santos, is deceased.
