Obituary

Graveside services for Louis T. Barbian, 97, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Plainview Memorial Park with the Rev. Gerald Petsch, pastor of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tulia, officiating. Burial arrangements are by Wallace Funeral Home. Mr. Barbian died Tuesday, March 20, 2004, in Rogers, Ark. He was born Oct. 30, 1906, in Dallas. He moved to Tulia in 1924 and was a farmer. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. He and Louise Berner were married Nov. 2, 1927 in Kress. She died May 1, 1991. Survivors include two sons, Wilbert Barbian of Rogers, Ark., and James Barbian of Tulia; three sisters, Barbara Berner and Magalene Young, both of KRess and Bertha James of Silverton; one brothers, Tony Barbian of Kress; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
