Obituary

Funeral services for Pabla Balderas, 66, of Hale Center will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at First Assembly of God with Pastor Nelson Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today, Sept. 10, 2014, at the funeral home. Mrs. Balderas died Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, in Hale Center. She was born on May 29, 1948, in Amarillo to Silberio and Peligia Garza Barela. She is survived by her husband, Benito Balderas of Hale Center; seven daughters, Sylvia Ramos of Hale Center, Susie Balderas of Lubbock, Christina Ramirez of Lubbock, Elosia Navarrete of Hale Center, Hope Hallcy of Hale Center, Brenda Cerbantez of Hale Center and Linda Balderas of Lubbock; one son, Jacob Balderas of Hale Center; four sisters, Gloria Dalton, Maria Hood, LuAnn Vela and Dora Calderon; one brother, Rommy Espinosa; 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Lucinda Balderas and Isabel Espinosa, and one brother, Antonio Barelas.
