Obituary

Glen Bailey, 87, of Plainview, passed away on Jan. 3, 2015, in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, in the Kornerstone Chapel with Pastor Kim Bellows of United Assembly officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Glen was born on Feb. 2, 1927 in Wirt, Oklahoma, to James and Ada Bailey. He grew up in Matador and attended schools there. He was a farmer and a cotton ginner for many years in the area. He even ginned in California for several years. He was a member of the United Assembly of God Church in Plainview. He married Thelma on Nov. 19, 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings. He is survived by his wife Thelma Bailey of Plainview; two daughters, Shirley LeFevre and husband Stan of Plainview, Reatha Marley of Lubbock; six grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; five stepchildren, 16 step-grandchildren, 22 step-great-grandchildren.
