Aylesworth, Gene Paul, Mrs. (Edith Grimes)

Funeral servcies for Edith Grimes Aylesworth, 82, of Lubbock, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bartley Memorial Chapel with Bill Aylesworth of Clovis, N.M., officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Aylesworth died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2003, in Heritage Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Lubbock.

She was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Harold.

She graduated from Floydada High School.

On June 21, 1942, she married Gene Paul Aylesworth and they were house parents for Lee Moore Children's Home in El Paso for several years.

She moved to Lubbock in 1993 and was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church.

Mr. Aylesworth died Dec. 28, 2002.

Survivors include two daughters, Paula and Susan Aylesworth; a brother and sister-in-law, Bert and Rose Grimes of Petersburg; and a sister-in-law, Geneva Jones of Dumas.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. They suggest memorials to a favortie charity.
