Averyhart, Ben

Graveside services for Ben Averyhart, 92, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Plainview Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Foote, pastor of Northside Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Averyhart died at 11:17 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, in Prairie House Living Center.

He was born Dec. 30, 1910, in Winkler in Freestone County. He grew up in Winkler and Corsicana and moved to Plainview in 1972. He was retired from Merryman Construction Co. where he worked from 1976 to 1993.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Shannonn Smith of Plainview; two stepsons, Mark Wooley of Plainview and Sedrick Wooley of San Angelo; and a sister, Myrtle Terry of Colorado Springs, Colo.

His common-law wife, Frances Wooley, is deceased.
