Funeral services for Anna Belle Autry, 89, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Roger Foote, pastor of Northside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Autry died Saturday, July 3, 2004, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born Dec. 23, 1914, in Hale County. On March 4, 1939, she married Marvin Henry in Floydada. They farmed and ranched in Hale County. They lived in Hickory and Davis, Okla. from 1955 to 1964 when they returned to Hale County. They moved to Plainview in 1980. Mr. Autry died Aug. 11, 1983. Survivors include two nieces, Darlene Purker of Arlington and Norma Pierce of Lubbock; six nephews, Gerald Hamby of Hereford, Gerald Autry of Plainview, Harold Hamby of Dumas, Durward Hamby of Hereford, Kenneth Parker of Lancaster and Wesley Youtsey of Arlington. Her parents, Thomas Jefferson and Mary Effie Parker; two sisters, Una Clarice Hamby and Mary Gwen Youtsey; and five brothers, William H., Leon R., Dale W., Thomas C. and Wesley D. Purker, are deceased. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and suggests memorials to Boys Ranch or to a favorite charity.
