Trevil Ethel Atkins, 94, of Houston. "Come unto me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest," is the invitation our sweet mother and grandmother accepted from the Lord Sunday evening, Dec. 14, 2008. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Trevil was born Nov. 19, 1914, in McGregor, Texas, and has been a Houston resident since 1970. Having lived alone until two months before her 94th birthday, Trevil Ethel Atkins entered eternal rest after a two-month illness with heart disease. She is survived by her three sons, Jerry and wife Linda, Gary and wife Lynda, and David and wife Donna; grandchildren, James Atkins and wife Rachel, Nikki Hartung and husband Bob, Michael Atkins, Michelle Pastorek and husband Nick, Alicia Flora and husband Chuck, and Kevin Atkins; and seven great-grandchildren.
