Obituary

Funeral services for Alice Arnold, 92, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hale Center Church of Christ with Charles Cook, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home. Mrs. Arnold died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, in St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, Ariz. She was born Nov. 28, 1912, in Stonewall County. She lived in Hale Center until moving to Tucson to be with her daughter. She married George Ellis Arnold on Feb. 6, 1946, in Sweetwater, Texas. He died June 3, 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Bromley of Tucson and Betty Thornton of Fort Worth; three sons, Mack Vandiver of Abilene, Patrick Vandiver of Ingram and Thomas Arnold of Lubbock; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Four children, June Garoutte, Terry Vandiver, Kathleen Dunavant and Rex Vandiver, are deceased
