Obituary

Our beloved Jason Nolan Arney, 32, of Plainview went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 15, 2010. Celebration of Jason's life will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010, at College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Following the services, the family will receive visitors; please call Bartley Funeral Home for details. Jason was born Aug. 7, 1977, in Plainview to Nolan and Julie Arney. He graduated from Plainview High School with honors in 1994 and attended South Plains College in Levelland where he studied law enforcement. Jason lived in Hollis, Okla., for two years before returning to Plainview. He was gifted in electronics and computer building and repair, and worked for a time at McPherson Computer. Jason also loved music, gardening, firearms and target practice. Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Steve Arney of Burleson and Jeff Arney of Honolulu, Hawaii; two sisters, Jill Johnston and Jennifer Arney, both of Plainview; five nieces, Tylar Arney and Jessi Johnston of Plainview, Jessica Kuhn of Florida and Heather and Amber Arney of Burleson; four nephews, Jeffery Arney of Ohio, Justin Arney of Hawaii, Aaron Arney of Washington and Ethan Sanders of Plainview; and numerous aunts and uncles.
