Obituary

ABERNATHY - Funeral services for Juan Anzualda, 84, were at 10 a.m. today in Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel in Lubbock with the Rev. Jose Anzualda officiating. Burial was in Petersburg Cemetery by Calvillo Funeral Home. Prayer services were at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Anzualda died Friday, April 19, 2002. He was born Nov. 25, 1917, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He moved to Abernathy from Tahoka in 1972 and was a farmer. On Oct. 30, 1937, he married Josefa Chavez in Wharton. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Rebecca Jaso of Petersburg; a brother, Luis Anzualda of Dallas; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
