Obituary

Memorial services for Thomas P. Anthony, 82, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Friday Feb. 23, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Drew Travis, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Anthony died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born Oct. 13, 1924, in Detroit, Mich., to Michael J. and Ella Elizabeth Anthony. He married Judith Parker on July 27, 1974, in Palos Verdes, Calif. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 33 years before retiring. He was in WWII and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer in New York. He also received two master's degrees in statistical analysis and business from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He was an avid golfer and a member of Plainview Country Club. He also was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was a former member of the Plainview Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include his wife, Judy, of the home; three daughters, Elizabeth Lunt of Lakewood, Calif., Pamela Stephanic of Plainview, Texas, and Lisa McMurray of Torrence, Calif.; three granddaughters, Diane Lunt of Lakewood, Calif., Robin Lunt of Lakewood, Calif., and Morgan McMurray of Torrence, Calif.; and one brother, James Anthony of Annandale, Va. He was preceded in death my his mother and father; one brother, Michael Anthony Jr.; and one sister, Patricia Cremo.
