Obituary
Cecelia Andrae, 77, of Plainview passed away Friday, May 22, 2009, at her residence. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at St. Alice Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim McCartney officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at the funeral home. Mrs. Andrae was born June 10, 1931, to Henry and Sally Haiduk on the family farm near Panhandle, Texas. She graduated from the Academy of Mary Immaculate in 1948. She married Albert Andrae on Aug. 10, 1949, in Panhandle, Texas. They moved to Plainview where she raised their family and farmed for 60 years. She was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church where she played the organ, supplied flowers and taught Sunday school for many years. Her hobbies included her dog and constant companion Maddie, genealogy, crocheting, collecting stamps, moon and star glassware, Barbie and Shirley Temple dolls and other antiques. She is survived by her husband, Albert Andrae of Plainview; four children, David Andrae and his wife, Karen, W.T. Andrae and his wife, Lisa, Terry Andrae and his wife, Angie, all of Plainview, and Becky Provan and her husband, Phil, of Scurry, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Memorials may be made to St. Alice Catholic Church, 1114 Houston, Plainview, TX 79072.
