Anderson, Roy Lee

Funeral services for Roy Lee Anderson; 90, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Church of God with the Rev. Larry Bridges of Blossum, the Rev. Keith Anderson of Fort Worth and the Rev. Bruce Gregory, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Anderson died Wednesday, May 7, 2003, in Lubbock.

He was born Dec. 9, 1912, in Boswell, Okla. He grew up in Bonham and moved to Plainview in 1952. He was a farmer, retiring in 1974.

He was a member of the Church of God and the Senior Citizens Center.

On Dec. 29, 1938, he married Louise Elliott in Hibbit.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Linda Cavalier of New Orleans, La., Peggy Philmore of Tampa, Fla., Wanda Buckner of Sherman and Sharon Thomas of Plainview; a son, Ry Delton Anderson of Wichita Falls; two brothers, J.C. Anderson of Kaufman and Lloyd Anderson of Dodd City; a sister, Lorene Bridges of Dodd City; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home and suggests memorials to the Church of God, 508 W. 10th, Plainview, TX 79072
