Anderson, Major Bill, Mrs. (Fonittia)

Hale Center-- Services for Fonitta Anderson, 86, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Carroll Green, pastor of Loop Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Anderson died Friday Jan. 2, 2004, at Covenant Hopital Plainview.

She was born July 4, 1917, in Kansas. She married Bill Anderson on April 8, 1950, in Salem, Ark.

She moved to Hale Center from Missouri over 50 years ago. She was a member of First Baptist Church and took care of the children of the nursery for over 20 years. She was a cafeteria employee for Hale Center public schools.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William and Teresa Anderson of Hale Center; a daugther and son-in-law, Delores and Kenny Hewitt of Plainview; a stepson, Bill L. Anderson of Carlsbad N.M.; a stepdaugther, Eddie Wiggins of California; two sisters, Florene Traynoff of Aurora, Ill., and Florabell Mollins of St. Louis, Mo.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Her husband; a son, Roy Anderson; and a brother, Lee Roy Bryant are deceased.
