Obituary

Funeral services for Oralia Amaya, 54, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulo officiating. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Amaya died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, in Lubbock. She was born Aug. 23, 1952, in Hondo to Antonio Sauceda and Esperanza Sandoval Sauceda. She married Leonard Amaya on March 18, 1972, in Plainview. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband; one son, Leonard Amaya Jr. of Plainview; six sisters, Maria Amaya, Gloria Culler, Anita Sauceda, Josie M. Sauceda and Julia Jimenez, all of Plainview, and Minnie Flores of San Antonio; seven brothers, Tony Sauceda, Pete Sauceda, Robert Sauceda and Ricky Sauceda, all of Plainview, Manuel Sauceda of Dallas, Rudy Sauceda of Andrews and Ernest Sauceda of Hobbs, N.M.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
