Obituary

Dora Alvarez, 75, of Plainview, died Nov. 25, 2014 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at Kornerstone Funeral Chapel with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at the funeral home. Dora was born Oct. 6, 1939, to Pedro and Francisca Campos. She married Jose Alvarez on June 6, 1957, in Donna. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2006. She was a member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Dora is survived by two daughters, Juanita Pacheco and husband Mercedes and Linda Perez and husband Lorenzo "Larry"; five sons, Jose Alvarez Jr. and wife Rebecca, Javier Alvarez, Roland Alvarez and wife Diane, John Alvarez and Armando Alvarez; one brother, Cesario Campos; 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
