Obituary

Funeral Mass for Dominga Alvarado, 66, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulo, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today in Lemons Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Alvarado died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at her residence. She was born July 7, 1939, in Macdona, the daughter of Frank and Manuela Castillo Anchando. She worked for Beall's Department Store as a sales clerk until she retired. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She married Thomas Alvarado. He is deceased. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Alvarado Jr. of Alvin and Anastacio Alvarado of Plainview; two daughters, Gloria Jimenz of Plainview and Angel Ruiz of San Antonio; three brothers, Paul and Jessie Anchando of Rogers and Henry Anchando of Marcus, Colo.; six sisters, Manuela Alcozer of Belton, Francis Delarosa of Sebastian, Jane Barron of Alvin, Mary Stoffer of Temple, Paulina Barela of San Antonio and April Evans of Temple; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
