Private graveside services for Mary Wanda Alexander, 92, of Alta Loma, Calif., former Plainview resident, will be in Plainview Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Foote, pastor of Northside Baptist Church, officiating. Local arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Alexander died July 22, 2002, in the Rancho Mesa Care Center in Alta Loma. She was born Feb. 14, 1910, in Boyd in Wise County where she grew up. On Sept. 19, 1928, she married Emmett Alexander Sr., in Plainview and they moved to Lynwood, Calif., in 1941. In 1970, they moved to Hemet, Calif. He died Dec. 2, 1983. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Hemet where she attended Sunday school, the Women?s Missionary Fellowship and other activities. Survivors include a niece, Jackie Hadden of New Mexico; two nephews, Thomas Farrell of Long Beach, Calif., and Glenn Farrell of La Habra, Calif. A son, Emmett Alexander Jr., died Feb. 5, 1933. The family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army or to the Women?s Missionary Fellowship at First Baptist Church, Hemet, Calif. 92343
