Graveside services for Naomi D. Alcorn, 90, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Plainview Memorial Park with Dean McNamara, chaplain of VistaCare Hospice, officiating.
Burial arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alcorn died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at her residence.
She was born Naomi D. Hughes on March 17, 1913, in Oklahoma.
On Oct. 3, 1928, she married Arja Thomas Alcorn. He died Dec. 1, 1999.
The couple moved to San Angelo and then to Jal, N.M. They later moved to Lea County and Hobbs, moving to Plainview in 1947.
She worked as a waitress at Pioneer Steak House and later owned and operated a coffee shop next to the old Plainview Hospital. She moved to Abilene in 1966 and back to Plainview in 1996.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Bette and Lloyd Belk of Plainview and Wanda Mattheus of Lubbock; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Dixie Alcorn of Austin; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A brother and two sisters are deceased.
The family suggests memorials to VistaCare Hospice, College Heights Baptist Church building fund, or to a favorite charity.
