Obituary

ABERNATHY - Funeral services for Clyoma Adams, 91, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Bass, pastor, officiating. burial will be in the Abernathy Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home. Mrs. Adams died Friday, May 17, 2002 at her residence. She was born April 13, 1921 in Gatesville and married Robert L. Adams on July 5, 1939 in Portales, NM. He died May 4, 1996. They moved to Abernathy in January of 1950 from Spade. She was a member of the Abernathy Senior Citizens, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the First United Methodist Church. A son, Robert Gayle Adams, died Dec. 23, 1984. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Richardson of Abernathy; a son, Rick Adams of Dallas; a brother, C.E. Grant Jr. of Muleshoe; a sister, Myrna Girard of Amarillo; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
