Obituary

Graveside services for John Veal Adams, 82, of Plainview will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Plainview Memorial Park with his hunting buddy, Barry Whedbee of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements and cremation was under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth. Mr. Adams died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, in Plainview. He was born Jan. 20, 1927, in Ranger to Eli and Sara Novella (Smith) Adams. He graduated from Ranger High School. He married Carroll Boyce on July 25, 1954, in Abilene. She died Oct. 16, 1990. His eight brothers and sisters also are deceased. Mr. Adams was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors and life to the fullest.
