Obituary

Graveside services for Cora Eunice Adams, 93, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Plainview Memorial Park with the Rev. Tommy Ewing of Amarillo and the Rev. Horace Abbott, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Adams died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, in Covenant Hospital. She was born Sept. 24, 1911, in Chico, and married Dwight L. Moody Adams on Dec. 25, 1929, in Decatur. He died in December 1973. They had lived and farmed in the Shamrock area until 1943 when they moved to Hale County to farm. She was a homemaker, a longtime member of the Methodist Church and a Pink Ladies volunteer for 14 years. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Jean Adams of Plainview; a daughter and son-in-law, LaNelle and John Farris of Lamesa; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Those deceased include two sons, Wayne Adams, who died in 1992 and Kenneth Adams, who died in 1994; her parents, four brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers will be Dwight Adams, David Adams, Carter Adams, Chad Farris, Jon Rudy and Chris Hingst. The family suggests memorials to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch in Amarillo, VistaCare Hospice of Plainview or Plainview Hospital Auxiliary.
