Obituary
Memorial services for Bobby Lee Acy, 64, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at United Baptist Church with the Rev. David Gardner, pastor of Rehoboth Christian Worship Center, officiating. Arrangements are by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Acy died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center Lakeside in Lubbock. He was born April 1, 1942, in Mineola to Lemmett and Johnnie Lee Acy. He married Connie Graham on May 20, 2006, in Plainview. He had farmed since age 12. He worked for Oliver Harmon, James Gandy and was currently working for Ronald Mahagan Farms. He was a member of the Fishermans Club and superintendent of Rehoboth Christian Worship Center. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Barbara Acy and Vicki Acy, both of Bryan, Maranda Acy of Clovis, N.M., and Priscilla Acy of Denver; five stepchildren and seven nieces and nephews who he raised, Misty McAdoo, Narsah Munoz, Marcus Willis II, Kanillia Coleman, Georgia Coleman, Marcedes Willis and Mariah Willis, all of Plainview, Albert Drakes of Dallas, Casey Graham of Jesup, Ga., Krissi Teel of Jacksonville, Sam Graham of Lubbock and Sgt. Christopher Davis, stationed in Korea; five brothers, Floyd Owens, L.C. Owens, Raymond Owens, John Owens and Charles Owens, all of Plainview; six sisters, Johnnie Mae Shivers, Millie Ann Whitaker, Linda Henderson and Sharon Crear, all of Plainview, Clara Mae Willis of Houston and Grace Lee Dickson of Colorado; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
