Obituary

Leticia Gaucin, 57, of Plainview, departed this earthly world and entered heaven’s gates unexpectedly on May 6, 2021. A service will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 10 at Bartley Memorial Chapel. A visitation will be Wednesday, May 12, 2021, from 5-7 p.m.

Leticia was born on December 16, 1963 to Gabriel and Hortencia Rodriguez in Plainview, Texas. She married Raul Gaucin on January 14, 1988 and had 33 beautiful years together. Leticia enjoyed reading and spent a lot of her time in the library where she served on the Unger Memorial Council. Her family will miss her cooking and her wonderful baking skills. She loved to dance, listen to music, and was an avid movie goer. Leticia never met a stranger and could make friends everywhere she went. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, aunt, a friend. Leticia will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband; Raul Gaucin of Plainview, her mother; Hortencia Rodriguez of Plainview, her two children; Anna Everett and husband, Raymond, of Lubbock and Emilio Gaucin of Plainview, a brother; Samuel Rodriguez and wife, Margie, of Plainview, half siblings; Irma Garcia, Gabriel Rodriguez Jr, and Gabriel Rodriguez Jr.

Leticia is preceded in death by her father; Gabriel Rodriguez Sr., sisters; Viola Rodriguez, Eliza Rodriguez, Nina Gloria, and Beatriz Rodriguez.
