Obituary

Larry Alexander, 81 of Plainview, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022. A Graveside Service will be at 2:00pm, Monday, February 7, 2022 in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. A Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm, Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Larry was born on January 31, 1941, in McKinney, Texas to Willie Anderson and Linnie Louise (Carpenter) Alexander. He married Nancy Geraldine Pennington on May 12, 1960, in Lubbock. He worked at Woods Motor Company as an auto mechanic. He enjoyed collecting junk and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy Alexander of Plainview; two daughters, Mary Perry, and Penny Davenport both of Plainview; four grandchildren, Larry Ray Davenport, Nikki Davenport, Bryan Alexander, and Shayla Perry; seven great grandchildren, Jaidian, Zane, Klover, Callie, Kaitlyn, Abbi, and Little Kidd on the way; one great-great grandson on the way, Deklan Gray Vance; one brother, Edward Alexander of Plainview.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Sydney, Leo, Leonard, and Glen Alexander; and two sisters, Margaret O’Bier and Norma Sue Taylor.
