Obituary

Tyrone Coleman, 72, of Plainview, passed from this life and entered heaven on May 5, 2020. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 1 p.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Bartley Funeral Home.

Tyrone was born on Jun 27, 1947 to Carl Edward and Bennie Faye Coleman in Decatur, Texas. He graduated valedictorian at Booker T. Washington School. He Jarvis Christian College for a year and a half and then attended Wayland Baptist University. Tyrone was a pool shooter and went on to play in Salt Lake City. He enjoyed collecting antiques and coins and loved traveling in his Lincolns. He was a very charismatic and charming man you might even say a “ladies man”.

Above all he deeply loved his daughter and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory is his daughter; Thifiney Coleman Willis and husband, Frankie, of Casa Grande, Arizona, step-children; Gwen and Crystal Hearn, brothers; Dwight Coleman of Plainview, Bobby Coleman of Plainview, Ben Coleman and wife, Brenda, of Plainview, and Curtis Coleman or Marietta, Oklahoma, sisters; Carlene Coleman Willis and husband, Marcus, of Plainview and Debra Coleman Filmore and husband, Jesse, of Fort Worth, Texas. Tyrone was also blessed with 2 grandchildren; Braiden Riddley and Bradley Coleman that he will watch over. Special nieces and nephews; Jackie, Narsha, Chris, Andre, Cedrick, Marcedes, Mariah, Xavier, Marcus, Ronald, De Andre, Jenea, Kanillea, and Georgia.

Tyrone is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Edward and Bennie Faye Coleman, wife; Florida May Coleman, brothers; Danny and Ronald Coleman, grandson; Brentod Wooley, step-son; Allen Hearn, and a nephew; Angelo Coleman Pruitt.
