Obituary

Raul Riojas, 59 of Plainview, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Raul was born on September 24, 1962, to Manuel A. and Julia (Robles) Riojas in Plainview. He attended Plainview schools and graduated in 1981. He married Theresa Davis on August 24, 1991, and they were married for 26 years until her passing in 2017. Raul retired from TDCJ as a corrections officer and soon after, he started working for the Hale County Sheriffs Office as a jailer. He enjoyed watching movies and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time with his grandkids, family and working on the truck with his grandson, Jadyn and best friend, Brian. He devoted his weekends off to spend time with his mom and dad. Raul was a grandpa and father to everyone; he will be dearly missed by all of those who love him.

Raul is survived by his parents: Manuel and Julia Riojas; one son: Jonathan (Nancy) Baeza of Lubbock; one daughter: Kisha Flores of Plainview; three brothers: Ricky (Martha) Riojas and Robert Riojas all of Plainview, and Ray Riojas of San Angelo; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Theresa.
