Obituary

Gearld Dwayne Smith, 85 went to his Heavenly home on May 10, 2022. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Gearld (Pop) was born on June 17, 1936 in Mitchell County to Tom & Irene Smith. He married Barbara Jane Stewart on September 24, 1955 in Stanton, Texas. They moved to Plainview to start their life of raising children and farming.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Barbara Smith.

Gearld was Dad to Roland & Sherry Smith of Littlefield, Texas, Joe & Mitzie Smith of Plainview, Texas, Lisa Willborn of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Elizabeth & Kevin Goodlett of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, Glenda Mason and Carol Michiletti; nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

We want to thank Traditions Hospice and Connie's Compassionate Care for caring and loving our Dad. We were so blessed.
