Obituary

Bill D. Roth, 78, passed away on April 10, 2022. Bill was born in Stigler, OK on May 9, 1943, to Tena (Haines) and Theo Roth. He lost his father at a young age and grew up working in his mother’s grocery store in Texico, NM. He married Sue Cooper on June 29, 1968, in Plainview, TX.

Bill's entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and operate a number of small businesses in Plainview, in addition to managing the Hale County Teachers’ Federal Credit Union for several years. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor, and he spent many hours enjoying friends and coffee at his beloved Nu Griddle Café.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife Sue, who passed away last year. Family members left to celebrate the lives of both Bill and Sue include their son Dean Roth of Lubbock, their daughter Lisa Roth and her husband Scott McConville of Bethel, CT.

A memorial service honoring both Bill and Sue Roth will be held on April 30, 2022, at 2 PM at Kornerstone in Plainview.
