Obituary
Charla Henderson Cook, 75, of Plainview died on Friday, March 11, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 18, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Hale Center, TX. Burial will follow at Hale Center Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
A visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Kornerstone.
Born August 29, 1946 in Deming, New Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Henderson. She grew up in Hale Center and Cotton Center and attended schools there. She was a homemaker and took care of her children. She later worked as a Postal Carrier for the Post Office for 21 years. She worked at the Highschool for a couple of years before retiring. She loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed playing games. She also enjoyed girls trips to the lake and shopping with her daughters.
Charla is survived by her daughters, Brenda Rodriguez and husband Johnny of Lubbock, TX, Shana Strange and husband Dwain of Kress, TX, Charlotte Jackson of Plainview, TX, Mandy Cornett of Plainview, TX, one son, Chris Cornett and wife Nancy of Dexter, Missouri, Four sisters, Anna Leigh Morris of Crane, TX, Rachel Taylor of Plainview, TX, Mary Black of Plainview, TX and Tammy Jo Alexander of Plainview, TX. She was blessed with nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren whom she loved very much.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Thomas Henderson Jr and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
